I joined Snapchat to lead a team tasked with creating key art for Snap’s original content. The team I inherited consisted of talented illustrators who primarily created filters for the app. I focused on expanding their skill set by providing comprehensive training in Photoshop, layout design, color correction, photo editing, retouching, art direction, compositing, and directing photoshoots. My goal was to ensure the delivery of high-quality key art that effectively represented both the shows and the talent.

During my tenure at Snap, I have creatively directed over 120 pieces of key art. I am incredibly proud of my team's progress and the remarkable improvements they've made under my guidance. Additionally, I contributed to in-show graphics for the shows and supported them from a marketing perspective, ensuring a cohesive and impactful visual presence across all platforms.

Snapchat Filters

My team partnered with the Editorial team to provide filters for locations, events, and holidays for use by Snapchat users. From the Grammy’s to the Beer Mile my team supported a broad range of events and holidays.

Timely News aka Happening Now

My team partnered with the product team to create a feature in Snapchat that would provide users with timely, customized news for them that would also drive engagement and stickiness within the app. We saw from COVID that our users got a lot of their news and updates from Snap. My team designed the ingress, icons and the news feature layouts for this feature. In addition we worked with a handful of our key news partners to express their brands within Happening Now in a way that aligned with the Snapchat brand.

Premium Shows Page

My team worked with the product team to create a tab for premium content within the Snapchat app. We designed updates to features and layouts to drive more engagement and easier way-finding for premium content and worked through internal betas to iterate and improve the page.
